After lots of planning and waiting, McFarlane Nature Park has a REAL rest room.  No more porta potty!

Initial donations were buried underground as the park was hooked up to Cobb County Sewer and Water lines, and now the aboveground work is nearly complete. We only await our final county inspection.

Landscaping around the new building and a pathway through the woods to the picnic pavilion was completed in Winter 2005 by Eagle Scout  Mack Brown.

We want to thank neighbor and developer Nadar Zarrabi for his countless hours of effort overseeing this project.

We also want to recognize Northwest Exterminating, Smyrna, GA,  for their protection of our new building.

The Phase Two Fund Raising effort was kicked off at Patron's Day on April 24th, 2004  with a goal of $25,000.  Donations large and small arrived in our mailbox qualifying us very quickly for a matching grant of $2,500 from Representative Sharon Cooper.
