This trellis was copied from those used at the Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens in Belmont, NC.

The simple construction sets braces slightly into the 6" x 6" upright. Rustproof chains are hung from cup hooks - 2 from top crossbar and 2 from 4th crossbar, to provide support for the vines. In our case, the chains are weighted with heavy-duty fishing weights  of the kind used in the Gulf.
